A big loophole is left there in the latest version of AVG Antivirus and Internet Security 2014 and the bug is, product keys of AVG Antivirus 2013 work in that of version 2014. This ambiguity creates a lot of questions in minds of AVG Internet Security users. The first and most important question is, does AVG Inc. has made very minor upgrades to the latest version? Does AVG 2014 has the same core files? Does the protection power of AVG 2014 is same as AVG 2013?
AVG Antivirus stands among top ten antiviruses of the world and a lot of users trust AVG for protecting their important data against viruses, malware, trojans and all other threats. If the latest product doesn’t have any big updates, then its security status also falls in doubts. Many users are searching the answer for the question, “Is AVG Internet Security 2014 is just a name change for AVG Internet Security and Antivirus 2013”?
But it doesn’t mean that the product is outdated and is poor in providing protection for your content. I am also an AVG Internet Security user and I have upgraded my antivirus version from 2013 to 2014. Till now, I haven’t faced any issues yet and the product is brilliantly protecting my content from viruses and other malicious scripts. So the doubt may be just a fantasy.
In such a situation, AVG developers should look into it. The bug isn’t only creating doubts in minds of AVG users, but it is harming AVG Inc. financially too, as many people may be using the same AVG 2013 product keys for activating the 2014 version.
